Gambling to grow by leaps and bounds as claimed by Maine lawmakers
According to what was stated in Maine by lawmakers, the gambling industry is going to grow by leaps and bounds and the expansion needs business houses to be ready for it. The regulations need to be passed quickly so that the need for poker can be addressed.
The legislature consisted of veterans who know Legal policies in and out and they were the ones who formed the Legal Affairs Committee. This was held in Las Vegas. There were three members who attended this and what they had to say was that gambling and poker was at the threshold of a great expansion and Maine does need to be prepared for this.
Gambling is a high end business and the demand for it is only bound to multiply. This means that one needs to tap into the reality according to Sen. Debra Plowman.
Also, Rep. Linda Valentino stated that after eight years of the gambling scenario one still didn’t know much about the policies and procedures and where the industry was headed.
The committee was formed to look into the prospects of them being able to pass one bill but this should be done quick as time is running out.
The casino proposal was first seen in Maine and that requires the legislature to take quick action and initiative to get it all in place. Which states wins in this race for gambling is to be seen.
